Inam Akbar, Yousaf Kaboro issued judicial remand
The accountability court has sent Inam Akbar and Yousaf Kaboro to jail on judicial remand till January 9
KARACHI:
The accountability court has sent Inam Akbar and Yousaf Kaboro to jail on judicial remand till January 9. Both are accused in the Rs5.76 billion corruption reference over embezzlement in the Sindh information department. The court remarked that doctors examined Akbar and found him to be in good health, so his application for being held in a medical facility was not justifiable. The application was returned in the hearing on Wednesday.
Akbar has also applied for a B-class cell in the jail, on which the court issued a notice to jail authorities for a reply by January 9. Former provincial information minister Sharjeel Memon and other accused are already in jail in the same reference.
