Unfortunate: Newly-wed man dies of expired injection
Police arrested Dr Sajid and registered a case against him
BAHAWALPUR/MACHH/BHAWALPUR:
The Bahawal Victoria Hospital’s emergency ward turned into a battleground on Saturday as a newly-wed man lost his life at the facility. According to police, a doctor in a private clinic located at Multani Gate Bhawalpur administered an expired injection to a patient named Hamid. As a result, the patient’s condition became critical and he died on the way to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
Police added that Dr Sajid at his private clinic had administered an expired injection to the patient, who was brought for the treatment of fever. When Hamid’s condition deteriorated Dr Sajid brought him to Bahawal Victoria Hospital but Hamid died on the way to the hospital.
Hamid’s family also reached the hospital and held Dr Sajid hostage and accused him of Hamid’s death.
Upon family’s protest, police arrested Dr Sajid and registered a case against him.
