House robbery: Chinese nationals looted at gunpoint

ISLAMABAD: Police are on the lookout for three armed men who allegedly looted Chinese nationals in a house robbery in Sector G-10/4 on Friday. A Chinese woman was also injured after the gunmen allegedly opened fire upon resistance.

Police say they knew about the incident only after the injured woman was taken to Ali Medical Centre in F-8 by her fellow Chinese residents. The woman, identified as Olexia, received a bullet to her abdomen but is of out danger now. During the initial interrogation, the Chinese residents of the house told the police that three armed men entered the house at around 08:30pm on Friday and snatched Rs0.65 million from a Chinese man. The woman was injured, allegedly for trying to resist the robbery.

By Saturday evening, the Ramna police said they were still awaiting a formal complaint by the victims to register an FIR.
