Revenue dept recovers Rs3.5b  

The department also got evacuated 1,151 acres of land worth more than Rs9 billion

FAISALABAD:
The district revenue department, in a drive against defaulters, recovered Rs3.567 billion during the current year. The department also got evacuated 1,151 acres of land worth more than Rs9 billion from illegal occupants in different parts of the district.


Revenue Additional Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shahid said that over Rs5.6 million had been recovered under the head of stamp duty, Rs4.5 million under registration fees, Rs46.1 million under capital value tax, Rs52.7 million under registration fees, Rs656.1 million under CVT annual target, Rs2.70 billion under stamp duty annual target, Rs4.7 million under agriculture income tax and Rs9.58 billion under other heads. Shahid maintained that Rs2.49 billion for 24,319 Kanal and six marla acquired land had been paid to the land owners for Lahore-Karachi Motorway projects.
