The chief of the Landhi police station, SHO Sarwar Commando, and his security guard were injured in a road mishap.

SHO Muhammad Sarwar, popularly known as Sarwar Commando, was injured when in his private SUV was heading towards Empress Market from the Parking Plaza in Saddar.

According to Preedy SHO Israr Afridi, the accident took place when a speeding vehicle coming from Dr Daudpota Road hit Commando's SUV from the back. The SHO's speeding vehicle went out of control and crashed. As a result of the accident, Commando and his security guard were both moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment. Senior police officials reached the site of incident and inquired about the incident.

The SHO is infamous for his role in the Karachi operation against militants of political parties, gangsters and other criminals

SHO Afridi ruled out a possibility of the criminal act and said that it was just an accident. He said the police have obtained closed-circuit television footage of the accident.

A case has been registered against unidentified persons and further investigation is under way.
