KARACHI:
A delegation of the Awami National Party (ANP), led by its Sindh President Senator Shahi Syed, called on Governor Mohammed Zubair on Wednesday. According to a statement issued by Governor House, the governor discussed political activities, development projects, economic growth in Karachi and other matters with the delegation.
Zubair said that his doors are open to representatives of all political parties. He said that for a stable law and order situation in the province he would continue to coordinate with the stakeholders because resolving the problems of the province is his top priority.

He added that all political parties should have the freedom and opportunity to hold political events in Sindh. He said that Karachi is the economic hub of the country and any activity that takes place here leaves an impact on the country’s economy. "All parties will have to work together for the development of the province," Zubair maintained.

Govt to shelve development projects not started yet
The governor said that the federal government's ‘Karachi Package’ will help resolve a number of issues of the mega city. Senator Syed appreciated the vision of the governor regarding the welfare of the people. He said that ANP is in talks with the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz for cooperation in the upcoming general elections.
