Campaign to review voters’ list to begin on January 15

A campaign to review the voters' list will be launched on January 15, after which the total number of voters will reach approximately 104 million people.
This was announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in a statement issued on Wednesday, Express News reported.
Apart from that, during the door-to-door verification process, around 7.36 million new voters will be registered and the names of almost 9.23 million people who have died will be removed from the electoral list.

Last week, a meeting was held under the chair of the chief election commissioner to discuss the arrangements being made for the upcoming general elections.
In the meeting, the election commission sought maps and other necessary materials from the concerned authorities for the new constituencies.
