Khan also directed the management of the zoo to provide all possible facilities to the visitors on Christmas. "Strict measures were taken to ensure foolproof security for the visitors on Christmas in the same way the measures were taken following the SOP on Eid."

He said that the instructions had already been given for monitoring and keeping security cameras functional. He added that December 25 is an important day for both Christians and Muslims, who celebrate the day with great zeal and fervour.

He said that there was a good news for the employees who work on daily wages. "Services of daily wagers will be regularised soon," Khan said adding that the services of the Christian community in some areas were admirable. About 40% employees of the Lahore Zoo belonged to the Christian community and they enjoy equal rights, he said.

Deputy Director Wildlife Publicity Amir Masood, Director Lahore Zoo Hassan Ali Sukhaira and other officials were present on the occasion.
