Grenade lobbed at police lines

Unidentified miscreants stormed police lines with a grenade in the wee hours on Friday, causing no casualty, say police sources. According to police, the terrorists fired a grenade from the western side which fell on a washroom adjacent to the gate, adding it went off with a big bang hich was heard in all areas in close proximity. However, the attack, which was stated to have been launched probably from the old vegetable market side, Multan road, caused no loss of life and partially damaged a wall. Policemen including bomb disposal squads rushed to the site and took their positions. The law enforcement forces also cordoned off the area and started a search operation to apprehend the culprits; besides collecting evidence from the site.
