Local talent: Students show talent at drama competition

Plays highlight social issues through strong themes and acting skills

ISLAMABAD: Students of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG), F-7/4 entertained the audience with their extraordinary performing arts skills in the Urdu drama competition.

College Principal Shaheen Rasheed, Professor Saleha Jabeen and faculty members and large number of students were present at the occasion.

Students highlighted social issues through strong themes and acting skills and received huge applause from the audience.

The winners included Hazaro Khawishe Aisi (A tohousand yearnings), Bhadur Khan ki Suguzisht (the saga of Bahadur Khan), Aik Kahani Barri Purani (a very old tale). Consolation prize was secured by Aagahi (awareness).

Shehnaz Javid, Shazia Sadaf and Afifa Amir performed the duties of judges and keenly observed the performance of the students.

In the self-portrait painting, Najamun Nisa, Shafaq Zahid and Hina Shakeel got first, second and third positions respectively.

In Replica of Pakistani Artist, Tuba Sohail, Saba Shukat and Salon Bashir clinched first, second and third positions respectively while in representation of Mughal architecture, Narmeen Tariq, Fatima Syed and Rimsha Zahoor obtained first, second and third positions respectively.

Consolation prize was secured by Zainab Butt.In Urdu Essay Writing, Rabail, Asba and Manahil got first, second and third positions respectively while in Calligraphy on Pot, Maham Sarfraz, Komal Saba and Rubab Sajjad got first, second and third positions respectively.

Consolation prize was secured by Ayesha Ahsan. In Photography Competition, the first prize was awarded to Tehmeen Ejaz, second and third prize was given to Rukhsar Ahmed and Naila Naseem respectively. Consolation prize was awarded to Sadia Aslam.
