Rs50m disbursed among 1,500 deserving families

Funds amounting to Rs50 million have been disbursed among 1,500 deserving families as interest-free loan under chief minster’s self employment scheme and Akhuwat. The move aims to make them effective and self-reliance members of the society.
In this regard, a ceremony was held at the Central Mosque, University of Agriculture Faisalabad in which UAF Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Iqbal Zafar was the chief guest. Akhuwat Steering Committee Member Akbar Pervez, UAF Department of Biochemistry Chairperson Khalilur Rehman and others attended the event.
On the occasion, the vice-chancellor lauded the measures being taken on the part of Akhuwat that were holding the hands of those who did not had ray of hope for betterment in their lives.
He said that education worked as the engine of a bright future for individuals and the society.
