‘BOI introducing innovative concepts’
Priority of BoI is to brand Pakistan as an entrepreneurial country
ISLAMABAD:
The priority of the Board of Investment (BoI) is to brand Pakistan as an entrepreneurial country by introducing innovation and modern industrial concepts in the special economic zones (SEZs) and priority economic zones (PEZs).
“Pakistan offers tremendous opportunities for investors in various sectors of the economy including the SEZs under the gigantic China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), textile, energy, agriculture, health and education due to a conducive business environment,” a senior BoI official told APP. He said the top priority of his organisation was to make Pakistan a prime destination for foreign and domestic investors by providing them with a level playing field, besides framing pro-investment policies.
Replying to a question, he said the BoI wanted to introduce an aggressive marketing plan for providing facilities offered in the SEZs through a one-stop shop in order to increase ease of doing business in the country.
