ISLAMABAD:
A fire broke out at the office of the Malaria Control Programme on Tuesday, but it was controlled before it could spread and cause damage.

The fire was minor in nature and burnt a computer and a UPS. However, quick action from staff, who used installed fire extinguishers, saw the blaze put out before it could spread.  Malaria Control Programme Director Dr Abdul Achakzai said that no one was injured in the fire while no records were burnt since the extinguishers in the building controlled it immediately.
