Fatal crashes: Four people killed in road accidents

Four persons were killed while 18 others suffered injuries in different accidents in the city on Saturday.

According to police, Nazir Ahmad of Sitara Colony, along with his son Shoaib, was travelling on a motorcycle, when a truck hit the two-wheeler near Sabzi Mandi Sadhar. Ahmad died on the spot while Shoaib was critically injured.

In another accident, Muhammad Shafiq, 35, of Chak No 93-JB lost his life at the Allied Hospital, whereas Ghulam Abbas, Mehmood Arif, Arshad, Khadim, Mansoor, Ali Raza, Saqlain, Farhan, Aslam, Nawaz, Abdul Khaliq, Abdul Hameed and Humayun were injured, when a bus (FSL-7555) collided with a truck on Sheikhupura Road near Adda Johal.


In yet another accident, a speeding tractor-trolley hit to death a motorcyclist Muhammad Afzal, 25, of Chak No 277-JB near Chak No 82-JB.

Similarly, Safdar Ali, 20, of Chak No 586-GB was killed while his pillion rider friends Ashfaq and Shakeel received injuries when their motorcycle smashed into a parked tractor-trolley.
