Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, on the third anniversary of the Army Public School, Peshawar carnage remembered the young martyrs and the sacrifices they made for the country.

In his special message on Twitter the army chief said, “The great sacrifice of our innocent beloved children & their brave families remains unforgettable.”

“It symbolises our undeterred resolve in love of our motherland. Your sacrifice has not gone in vain, we owe this improving peace to you,” said the COAS while paying tribute to its innocent martyrs.

Separately, Gen Qamar paid a visit to the rmy marksmanship firing ranges near Jhelum, where he reaffirmed the country's resilience in the fight against terrorism while paying tribute to the martyr's of the APS tragedy.

"December 16 is a date that shall live in infamy and we shall never forget as our enemy tried hurt us in Peshawar three years ago, but we came out of the incident stronger with renewed faith," he was quoted as saying by the ISPR.

"We need to guarantee the perpetrators of the heinous attack are completely obliterated."

He said that the best way to honor our shuhada is through our contribution to national strength in the pursuit of national objectives.

He was the chief guest at closing ceremony of 37th Pakistan Army Rifle Association (PARA) central meet, a mega shooting competition.

A total of 811 firers including 142 civilians and 25 teams from three services, Pakistan Rangers, Lahore Garrison Shooting Gallery, Federal Rifle association and Pakistan Police from Punjab, Sindh and K-P participated in 29 events during the four weeks long PARA meet.

Wounded officers and soldiers who had overcome various levels of combat disabilities also participated in the event.
