Inoculation drive starts in K-P from Monday
Plan to vaccinate over four million children
PESHAWAR:
Over four million children will be vaccinated in the upcoming anti-polio campaign starting from Monday in 17 districts of the province.
A meeting was held on Friday at Emergency Operations Centre Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to review arrangements for the upcoming National Immunisation Days (NID).
Coordinator EOC Atif Rehman chaired the meeting while EPI Director Dr Akram Shah, Technical Focal Person BMGF Dr Imtiaz Ali Shah,Teams Lead UNICEF Dr Joahar and WHO Team Lead Dr Abdi Nasir were also present on the occasion.
The coordinator was informed about the preparatory status of the campaign which will be held in 17 districts of the province with a target of vaccinating 4.386 million children.
The campaign will be conducted in Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, DI Khan, Tank, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi,Swat, Malakand, Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir and Afghan refugee camps.
