Twitter reacts to top court's landmark verdict on Imran, Tareen disqualification case

As the Supreme Court (SC) read out the verdict on the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen, denizens of the Twitterverse voiced their views on the proceedings.

The disqualified PTI general secretary took to Twitter and questioned top court's verdict saying:

 

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal were one of the first ones to acknowledge the decision:

PTI's Faisal Javed Khan congratulated Pakistan on Imran's victory

 

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was not behind when he chided:

One sent a scathing reminder to Tareen:

Of course, many people were simply enjoying the show:

As supporters of both the PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) gathered outside the court at 2pm and traded barbs, commentators highlighted the tension.

Also, many people were simply impatient to hear the court's decision.. and their impatience grew greater as the minutes passed:
