Health floats displayed on major roads in Faisalabad

Move aims to apprise citizens of facilities at basic rural health units, THQ hospitals

In a bid to highlight health care measures of Punjab government, health floats were displayed on different intersections and roads of the city by the local Health department in connection with the health convention programmes.

Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani and MPA Najma Afzal inaugurated the health floats outside the Deputy Commissioner Complex.

Health Sector: ‘Lot of opportunities for professionals’   

The medical machinery, including portable X-ray machines, ultrasound, dialysis and ECG machines and other medical equipments were exhibited on the health floats for apprising the citizens of the latest health and diagnostic facilities at the basic & rural health units and Tehsil Headquarter Hospitals being provided to the patients by the Punjab government.

The floats took a round of important city roads, including Agriculture University Road, Chenab Club Chowk, Railway Station Chowk, Jaranwala Road, Susan Road, D-Ground Peoples Colony, Satiana Road, Samnabad, Gulberg, Narwala Chowk, Kaleem Shaheed Road, Ghulam Muhammad Abad and other areas of the city.

On the occasion, the deputy commissioner said that a number of steps had been taken by the Punjab government for the development and strengthening of health sector under which latest health facilities were being provided to the patients near their doorsteps.

He said that 10 days health convention was celebrated by the district administration and local health department to create awareness among the people and for medical treatment and diagnosis of diseases in a proper manner.


Seminar on health services organized

MPA Najma Afzal lauded the CM's measures in health sector and said that ample medical facilities were being provided to the patients through revolutionary health facilities.

She appreciated the efforts of the district administration and health department for successful holding of health convention programmes for highlighting the Punjab government steps for the relief and ease of the general patients.

She said that the health floats would also prove helpful in raising awareness among the general public regarding providing modern health facilities to the patients.

District Health Authority CEO Zafar Abbas and DHO Muhammad Asif Shahzad said that 10 days health convention was successfully observed in the district under the Punjab government directions and health floats were displayed as a last event of the convention.

They maintained that health fairs, health science painting exhibition, seminars, walks, health screening camps and other events were held at different sites in connection with the health convention celebrations for the awareness of the general public regarding health facilities being provided by the Punjab government.
