LAHORE:
Opposition benches demanded the government to put the names of former deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar on Exit Control List (ECL) to stop them from escaping the country.

The demand was made by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) legislator Dr Murad Rass through his resolution he submitted in the Punjab Assembly contending there would be no benefit to put their names on the ECL if aforesaid succeeded in escaping from the country like former finance minister Ishaq Dar.

Sharif, Maryam summoned for using official protocol despite disqualification

He said those who looted the country should be stopped from escaping the country, adding their names should be put into the ECL on time rather than providing them opportunity to easily escape from the country.

Another resolution was submitted in the Punjab Assembly assuring complete support to the armed forces in eliminating the menace of terrorism.

This gesture was expressed by PML-N’s legislator Rana Mannan Khan through his resolution paying tribute to Second Lieutenant Abdul Moeed and one soldier Busharat who were martyred after terrorists opened fire on their vehicle near Afghan border in North Wazirastan.

Nawaz Sharif says 'rules of game should be equal'

He contended that the nation pay them tribute for their sacrifice for the country. He vowed that the sacrifices of the Jawans of the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies could not be forgotten. He said the whole nation stands with the armed forces in this war against terrorism.

He assured the House’s complete support with armed forces in eliminating terrorism from the country.
