Competition kicks off at IIUI
The event includes competitions on documentaries, debates, drama, sports, essay writing and calligraphy
An intra-university event featuring over 50 competitions kicked off here at International Islamic University Islamabad’s (IIUI) new campus.
The event, “Spectra-17”, includes competitions on documentaries, debates, drama, sports, essay writing, calligraphy, qiraat, naat and other disciplines.
The event is being organised by the students’ advisor office of the university which commenced at the male campus. IIUI President Dr Ahmed Al-Draiweesh, while inaugurating the event, termed Spectra as a vital event. He added that such constructive activities were necessary for grooming students.
He said that curricular and extracurricular activities are a sign of talented youth at any campus.
The IIUI president said that the varsity is committed to providing balanced and harmonious activities for students and that it was well aware of contemporary disciplines and embedded with teachings of Islam.
