ISLAMABAD: Days ahead of New Year, Islamabad police has decided to launch a crackdown against sale of drugs and liquor.

SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani has directed all police officials to launch massive crackdown against drug pushers and liquor sellers. He was chairing a meeting held to review performance of various police circles on Wednesday.

He said that IG Sultan Azam Temuri has categorically directed for effective patrolling plan in the city and brief the personnel performing patrolling duties.

Following IGP's directions, he said that steps should be taken to ensure effective policing.
