Bolan mail: Remote-controlled bomb derails train

The engine and four compartments were derailed while 20 feet of track was badly damaged in the explosion.

QUETTA: The Bolan Mail, a Karachi-bound passenger train was attacked with a remote control bomb near Jacobabad on Wednesday.

The engine and four compartments were derailed while 20 feet of track was badly damaged in the explosion suspending the rail service between Balochistan and rest of the country.

However, most passengers escaped unhurt. The blast took place when the train was passing between Jaffarabad and Jacobabad. The banned militant group, Baloch Republican Army (BRA), has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
