GAROT:
Thirty six members of the Population Department in the Khushab district have not been paid for the last six months.

The employees protested against the government on Wednesday and said that they had been on duty for the past year but had not received any salary. They have demanded that the Punjab government pay them their salaries by May otherwise protests would continue.

“We haven’t gotten our salaries even though we have been on duty all the while but now we will stop going door to door,” said Population Department worker Rehmat.
