Reports suggested that Deepika Padukone may replace actor Priyanka Chopra
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani says that actor Deepika Padukone is not a part of the next Don film.
There were reports that Deepika Padukone may replace actor Priyanka Chopra however Sidhwani has a different story to share.
Sidhwani spoke about Don on Monday night, at the success party for Fukrey Returns, which released on Friday and has crossed Rs. 30 crores in just three days.
"Deepika is not part of the Don franchise," he said. Talking about the next installment of Excel Entertainment's film franchise, the producer added, "We are working on it and very soon, we will make an announcement regarding the upcoming film."
He went on to speak about current and future projects, "We have just produced a comedy film and our next will be 3 Storeys which is a completely different kind of film releasing February, 2018."
He continued, "After that, we are coming up with Gold and Gully Boy, so all these films are different in terms of genre and none of them are comedies."
"I think people should follow what they believe in and the kind of stories they want to tell. If you try to do the same thing or emulate something which is not inherent, I don't think success will come your way," he added.
