30 criminals nabbed in different raids

Police also arrested 16 suspects from different areas of the district

SARGODHA: The police claimed to have arrested 30 criminals and recovered narcotics and illegal weapons from them.

A police official said that during ongoing drive against drug pushers and criminals, the teams of different police stations conducted raids within their precincts and arrested 30 drug pushers and criminals and seized 4.43 kilogrammes of hashish, 231 bottles of liquor, seven pistols, seven rifles and bullets from them.

Some of the accused were identified as Syed Saqlain Shah, Qaisar Shahzad and others. The police have registered cases against the accused and started investigation.

Meanwhile, the police also arrested 16 suspects from different areas of the district.

A police spokesperson said that during coordinated operation against criminals, the district police along with Rangers conducted operation in villages of Sillanwali Tehsil. After checking over 50 houses and verification of 100 persons through bio- metric system, they arrested 16 suspects.

Police foil 10-year-old girl's marriage

The police confiscated a pistol, 22 guns and 243 bullets from them. They were Zafar Iqbal, Nisar Ahmad, Naveed Hussain and others.
