AJK's top bureaucrat Shaukat Ali Mir dies of cardiac arrest

'We will never forget the services Mir provided to strengthen the department'

MUZAFFARABAD:

Director Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (AJKPSC) Shaukat Ali Mir died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.


According to the details, Mir was suffering from chest pain and was consequently rushed to the Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences . However, despite the doctors efforts he expired.


He was the elder brother of Additional Chief Secretary General (ACSG) AJK Farhat Ali Mir.



While his funeral prayers will be offered on Monday after at Khurhsid Hassan Khurshid stadium.


Application-based governance comes to AJK


AJK Prime Minister Farooq Haider Khan, President Masood Khan, Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir and Chairman AJKPSC Mohsin Kamal gave their condolences to the family of the deceased.


Kamal paid tribute to Mir and termed him to be "an honest, dedicated and most competent officer."


“We will never forget the services Mir provided to strengthen the department,” Kamal added.
