Power: Reduced outages for industries
Loadshedding curtailed to four hours following directives from federal government.
FAISALABAD:
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has announced that under the directives of the federal government, arrangements have been made to reduce the duration of electricity outages to four hours for industrial areas.
A Fesco spokesman informed on Wednesday that this decision had been taken during a meeting between Federal Water and Power Minister Naveed Qamar, a delegation of Faisalabad industrialists and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders. He said this was being done to facilitate Faisalabad’s industrial sector, especially export-oriented textile units, where load management at 15 industrial grid stations would be observed for four hours daily.
