Expansion: Sindh Bank granted branch licences

Sindh Bank will extend operations to Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, beginning in June as part of 45 branch expansion.

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has issued licenses to Sindh Bank for launching 45 more branches. Sindh Bank will extend operations to Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, beginning in June.

Earlier, it had been agreed that the bank would launch five new branches, but the figure has now reached 45. Sindh Bank President Bilal Shaikh, while speaking to The Express Tribune, informed that there are currently five operational branches of the bank. He added that 10 more were expected to begin operations by June, with a further 10 in the following month. Shaikh informed that Lahore would be the first city to have a branch, followed by Islamabad and Peshawar.
