Profiteering: Shopkeeper held for overcharging

The Industrial area police arrested a shopkeeper on Wednesday for overcharging customers.



An Assistant Food Controller lodged a report with the police that Muhammad Irshad was selling soft drinks on rates much higher than the normal market and several complaints had been received against him. A police team raided his shop in I-8/4 and arrested him after observing that he was charging Rs6.84 rupees more than the fixed price.  The man was arrested and a case was registered against him.
