Former CJP says vote wisely
Says Nawaz is insulting judiciary because of ruling against Sharif family
HYDERABAD:
Former chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry has urged people to reject corrupt politicians in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Hyderabad District Bar Association on Saturday, Chaudhry warned that if the door is not closed on corrupt political leadership, the country will not progress and the poor will keep suffering.
"And the same pir, wadera and chaudhry will win the votes every time," he said. Referring to former president and army chief General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, Chaudhry said a powerful man was breaking the Constitution with his every move, "But today there is rule of law in the country."
