Central Bank: Upgrading core banking system

KARACHI:
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Friday that it is upgrading its core banking system from Globus to T24R15. The system provides automation services required by the SBP to discharge its role as banker to the government and other banks/financial institutions, according to a press release. This upgrade will provide software enhancements in the form of improved quality, security, reliability, performance as well as newer features and functionalities. The upgraded system will be operational starting at 9am on Monday December 11th, 2017.  All banking services will remain available as usual. Although, every effort has been made to ensure seamless transition to the upgraded system, inconvenience due to any unexpected event may not be completely ruled out.
