Funds worth Rs914m released for schools

Rs77 million would be spent computer labs in 65 high schools and Rs7.5 million would be utilised for IT Labs

FAISALABAD: The government has released funds worth Rs914.6 million for 281 development schemes of various schools in Faisalabad District.

An official of district education authority said on Friday that out of these funds Rs647.5 million would be spent on 100 schemes under Annual Development Programme, whereas Rs33.5 million would be spent to provide basis facilities in the schools through 24 schemes.

Similarly, Rs77 million would be spent on setting up computer labs in 65 high schools and Rs7.5 million would be utilised for IT Labs in 30 elementary schools.

He added that Rs136.5 million would be spent on construction, repair and renovation of dangerous school buildings through 55 schemes, besides other works.
