Squash: Mixed fortunes for Pakistan
Farhan Mehboob cruised into the quarter-finals of the Asian Squash Championship.

Pakistan number two Farhan Mehboob cruised into the quarter-finals of the Asian Squash Championship in a day of mixed fortunes for the country.
Farhan continued his fine run on the third round of the competition by defeating Ali Baderal Ramezi with scores of 11-8, 9-11, 11-7 and 11-9. He took just 45 minutes to reach the last-eight where he will meet Harinder Pal Singh of India today.
On the other hand, his younger brother Waqas Mehboob, who recorded two wins on the opening day of the Asian event, was brought down to earth by Malaysia’s Mohammed Nafizwan in just 24 minutes of his match. He lost 11-1, 11-6, 11-6.
