Irfan Siddiqui says the foundation stone for the ‘National Museum of Pakistan’ will be laid early next year

The capital is set to get a new museum with Adviser to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH) Irfan Siddiqui announcing on Thursday that the foundation stone for the ‘National Museum of Pakistan’ will be laid early next year.
He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a week-long exhibition titled “Cultural Heritage of Pakistan” at the Islamabad Museum, Sir Syed Memorial.
Addressing the gathering, Siddiqui said that his division has acquired the necessary funds for establishing a state-of-the-art museum, to be built over three and a half acres of land allocated in Shakarparian, adjacent to the Lok Virsa.
