Singer said Lahore is open to friendship, just like London

Ali Zafar welcomed Sadiq Khan,the Mayor of London, to Pakistan on Wednesday, saying that the city of Lahore is open to friendship.

"Honoured to welcome you, Sadiq Khan, to our city/country. Your thoughts are inspirational and so is your story. London is open, and so is Lahore, to friendship and more happy times to come," Zafar tweeted today. He also shared a photograph in which he is seen with Khan.
The Mayor also shared a tweet regarding the meeting. "Great to meet the inspiring Ali Zafar in Lahore yesterday. He is yet another shining example of Pakistan's next generation of incredible global talent," he stated.
To this, Zafar replied, "Humbled. The world needs positive, progressive and empowering leaders like yourself who believe in equality and openness on all levels."
Khan is on a goodwill visit to Pakistan to promote his 'London is Open' campaign. Before coming to Pakistan, Khan spent three days in India. He also met singer Momina Mustehsan and designer Ali Xeeshan as part of his tour, as well as TV personalities Ayesha Sana and Sidra Iqbal.
