LAHORE: In an expression of support for the families of the victims of Model Town carnage, Pakistan Muslim League (PML) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has said it was an issue of the entire nation and not just one party.
He expressed these views while talking on telephone with Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri. The contact was established between the two leaders after a full bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) had ordered making public of Justice Ali Baqar Najafi report about massacre in Model Town.

The PML-Q president reiterated full support to Qadri regarding the tragedy and said Justice Ali Baqar Najafi’s report being made public was a welcome step. He said families of those who were killed in Model Town tragedy and the injured were still waiting for justice even today and his party was fully supporting them on this issue right from the first day.
Shujaat said voice was raised on every forum against murder of unarmed people including women and would continue extending full support in this regard in future as well.

He voiced hope that the families of the victims would get justice as the whole nation supported them. Those involved in the murder of innocent people would surely be punished irrespective of their status so that nobody dares to commit such heinous act in future.
