New dates for CLF announced

LAHORE: The Children Literature Festival (CLF) has been rescheduled to January 12-14. The social movement on art and literature will be held in collaboration with the Walled City of Lahore Authority in 2018.

The decision has been taken by the organisers and participants following recent events in the country.

Peace and love: Varsities plan to end campus violence

Organised in collaboration with CLF and WCLA, the festival intends to bring together children from all parts of the city and promote young talent. The festival will also include a discussion on the interaction between cultural preservation and the youth in a globalised world. For three days, the Walled City will be designated for various sessions on literature and the arts.

While announcing the new dates, CLF founder Baela Jamil said due to circumstances, the security situation demanded that the festival be postponed. Initially it was scheduled to be held from December 8-10, 2017.
