Heinous act: Woman set ablaze by ‘in-laws’ for not bearing child
Earlier in May this year, a woman suffered burn injuries when her in-laws set her ablaze for not bearing a child in Punjab's Okara. The victim was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for treatment, police said.
A police official told The Express Tribune that Asia Bibi tied-the-knot with Afzal three years ago in Village 36/4L. “However, the woman was unable to bear a child which led to routine arguments and fights between Asia and her in-laws,” he added.
