Gohar Rasheed to do ‘item song’ with 200 transgenders in ‘Rangreza’

The upcoming musical-romance Rangreza brings a dance number that might just top the charts for all the right reasons. Gohar Rasheed – playing Waseem Wallay in the film – will be seen dancing to Kalu alongside 200 transgenders. Speaking to The Express Tribune, Gohar revealed that as opposed to female item numbers in many Hollywood and Bollywood movies, “Waseem Walay is performing with 200 transgenders.” He further added that this was a huge step for him… to do an item number and that too, with so many transgenders. “The purpose behind Kalu is not to objectify anyone. The basic reason was to show and tell people that even these people – who unfortunately have to face certain stigmas in our society – are immensely talented,” stated the actor. We can’t to see how the film turns out!

Now his range of flat soled shoes called ‘Lahore Flats’ are definitely an ode to the country’s colourful culture and we couldn’t feel more proud!

Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter accused of rape

Nick Carter, singer of the famous boy-band of the 90s, Backstreet Boys has been accused of rape. Former Dream member, Melissa Schuman claimed that Nick raped her back in 2002. Melissa was 18 and Nick was 22 at the alleged time of assault. Melissa mentioned that their record labels had set up a call for them because they thought the pair should date, however, she was already dating someone at the time. Melissa added that the Larger Than Life singer had invited her and a friend over for a “casual hangout” where they had a few drinks. He then invited her in to his recording studio to listen to some new music he had made. Later, he took her to the bathroom where he started to undress her while she pleaded him to stop.  Her family tried to convince her to speak up in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein controversies but she only came forward after hearing that Nick was also accused of assaulting a fan in 2006.

The tweet did not sit well with Pakistani Twitterati, who slammed her in subsequent posts. We smell drrrama!
