Religious zeal: Eid Miladun Nabi preparations gain momentum

Dozens of stalls have been set up in different markets selling decorative items for celebration

FAISALABAD/ LAHORE: As Eid Miladun Nabi approaches, preparations are in full swing to celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in a befitting manner in Faisalabad District. The roads, streets and buildings in the town have been decorated by the faithful with colourful lights and buntings. Strict security arrangements have been made by law enforcement agencies to ensure the security of the processions of Eid Miladun Nabi.

People are buying various symbolic memorabilia, banners, decorative lights and other items to celebrate Eid Miladun Nabi on December 1 (Friday).

Dozens of stalls have been set up in different markets selling decorative items for celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi with religious zeal. The number of buyers at the markets these days is much higher than the rest of the year and the crowd is expected to increase till Rabiul Awwal 12.

The people from all walks of life, especially children are seen gathering at different markets, shopping malls, business centres and makeshift stalls to purchase flags, buntings, caps, lights and other material ahead of the event .

Although, there are several big and small shopping centres yet some drew optimum rush of people of all ages from urban and rural areas of Faisalabad District. Most of the shopkeepers and stall owners hiked the prices to mint maximum profits.

Besides, a number of programmes have been chalked out by government and religious organisations to celebrate the occasion with great reverence and devotion.
