QUETTA: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has moved the Balochistan High Court (BHC) against the provincial government’s decision to declare the residence of former finance adviser Khalid Langove a sub-jail and his shifting there from the Quetta district jail.

Appearing before a BHC division bench, NAB deputy prosecutor Chaudhary Mumtaz Yusuf objected to the government’s executive order for shifting Lango to his residence.

Court rejects Langove’s request for exemption

Advocate general Amanullah Kanrani represented the provincial government at the proceedings.

The court asked Kanrani what the government would do if a terrorist also asked it to shift him to his residence. Later, the court adjourned the proceedings.

Langove had been arrested by NAB in May, 2016 on corruption charges, and got a criminal case registered against him. He has been in jail since his arrest.
