Senior Chinese military official kills himself amid corruption probe

While giving the example of a senior Chinese military official, under investigation for corruption, who committed suicide earlier this month, the PTI Chairman shared his comments over the disparity of how corruption probes are handled in other regions and Pakistan.

In addition to strict enforcement of anti-corruption laws, Imran said, in other societies, there is also a fear of social boycott of the corrupt. But in Pakistan, he continued, the ruling elite embraces and seeks to protect those who loot public money to fill their family coffers abroad.
