ISLAMABAD:
National University of Modern Language (NUML) in its eighth convocation on Monday conferred degrees on around 264 graduate students of different programmes.

Among the graduating students there were nine PhDs, two Mphil and 16 gold medallists.

NUML Rector Ziauddin Najam congratulated the students, their parents and teachers on the successful completion of education and said that educated youth was a national asset and should come forward to make the country more prosperous and developed.

“A graduates stepping into practical life is a transformation. All of you are heading towards practical life,” Najam said.

However, he said that there was no benefit of knowledge if it does not help people become good human beings. “You all are proud for your university so make it proud of you. Build a character on high moral values so that people may quote your example and praise your teachers and parents,” he said.
