KMU holds workshop on osteopathy
Osteopathy is a growing field of medicine but it is still quite new in as Pakistan

The Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IPM&R) arranged a two-day workshop on osteopathy at KMU.
Dr Heidi Gaissmaier and Dr Cristine Bauer from Germany, Dr Faisal Naqvi from Canada and Dr Syed Haider Ali and Dr Usmara from Pakistan were the main facilitators of the workshop.
Osteopathy is a growing field of medicine which is recognised in developed countries, but it is still quite new in developing countries such as Pakistan.
It is a type of alternative medicine that emphasises manual readjustments, myofascial release and other physical manipulation of muscle tissue and bones.
The treatment option provided by osteopaths is relatively less expensive and patients with chronic medical conditions can benefits from this in a relatively shorter period.
