Woman murdered in Faisalabad 

She was shot dead while sleeping in her cattle pen

FAISALABAD: A woman was murdered in the jurisdiction of Lundianwala police station on Monday. The police said that 45-year-old Rukhsana Bibi, a resident of Chak No 587-GB, was asleep in her cattle pen when some unidentified people shot her dead. The police shifted the body to a local hospital for legal formalities. Further investigation was underway. In another incident, a youth committed suicide over financial constraints in the area of Mansoora Abad police station. The police said that 26-year-old Adnan Maqsood, a resident of Chak No 203-RB, had been jobless for a long time. However, in sheer frustration, he ended his life by consuming poisonous pills. Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested three shopkeepers for decanting LPG gas illegally from various parts of the city.
