Imanae Malik Case: Doctors issued non-bailable warrants
A judicial magistrate on Monday issued non-bailable warrants for two doctors.

A judicial magistrate on Monday issued non-bailable warrants for two doctors, accused of professional neglect leading to a three-year-old girl, Imanae Malik’s death. The proceedings were then adjourned till May 13. The warrants were issued to Dr Ghazanfar Ali Shah and Dr Javed Asghar for not appearing before the court. Charges were framed on May 19, 2010, against Dr Sanaullah, Ziaul Hassan Bukhari and Fehmida Sanaullah. The magistrate had turned down their applications for exemption from appearance before the court. Advocate Mohammad Azhar Siddique, the petitioner’s counsel said they had left the country.
