Land occupied by minister returned to authorities
Hospital land recently seized by the provincial Auqaf Minister Haji Ehsanuddin returned.

Hospital land recently seized by the provincial Auqaf Minister Haji Ehsanuddin was returned on Monday.
Ehsanuddin was accused of encroaching upon hospital land in the guise of constructing a hospital. Following protests against the minister, the land has now been restored to the district administration. Taking action on news aired by a private television channel, Multan District Coordination Officer (DCO) Javed Akhtar Zaman restored the seven kanal property near Ghanta Ghar and demolished the existing construction.
Auqaf Minister Haji Ehsanuddin had illegally seized the land adjacent to the Fatima Jinnah Hospital on the pretext of constructing a hospital in the name of the chief minister. The minister had erected a boundary wall and a signboard reading ‘Shahbaz Sharif General Hospital’ installed at the site. He also admitted to citing an estimate of Rs45 crore for the construction of the hospital.
