PHC issues warning letters to 53 quacks in DG Khan
PHC spokesman: Quacks are involved in spreading diseases like hepatitis and HIV Aids among people

The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) has extended its operation against illegal practices of medicine to other cities of the province, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Tunsa Sharif, Vehari, Rajan Pur and Khaniwal. “On Friday, during an operation in Dear Ghazi Khan, we have issued warning letters to 53 quacks,” said PHC spokesman.
He said quackery is a menace in the province and quacks are involved in spreading diseases like hepatitis and HIV Aids among people.
Pakistani doctor suspended for assaulting student nurse
The spokesman said: “We have detained and warn several practitioners and homeopaths for malpractices and those yet to register themselves with the newly-formed PHC.” According to PHC press release, around 7,000 herbal medicine experts (hakeems) and 9,000 homeopaths have registered themselves since 2015.
