No shortage of drugs in Astore
DHO says there is no shortage of medicines in public sector dispensaries and hospitals in the entire district
ASTORE:
District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Muhammad Ishaq on Thursday said there is no shortage of medicines in public sector dispensaries and hospitals in the entire district and sufficient stock is available to cater patients’ requirements during winter season. This he said while talking to media persons after visiting different dispensaries in the upper areas of the district. The DHO visited dispensaries in Thaing Paine, Gotamsure and Basic Health Unit (BHU) at Ramkha and inspected medicines, attendance of record and overall progress of the staff. Dr Ishaq met with local people, patients and heard their problems and instructed staff to ensure their presence, perform duties with honesty and serve people with best of their abilities. The DHO also handed over stock of medicines to the staff of Gotamsure and Thaing Paine dispensaries on this occasion. More than 250 patients at DHQ Astore were being examined on daily basis with free medicines to the needy patients.
