Specialised Healthcare: Mayo hospital to get 100 wheelchairs

Shah directed the department to provide comfortable sitting arrangements in place of wooden benches

LAHORE: Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Secretary Najam Ahmed Shah has directed the department to provide 100 new wheelchairs to the emergency department of the Mayo Hospital immediately. He said that old wheelchairs should be replaced with a new one. Shah directed the department to provide comfortable sitting arrangements in place of wooden benches for the attendees of the patients. Punjab health secretary issued these directions during his surprise inspection of the Mayo Hospital on Tuesday morning. He further directed that a triage area of pharmacy and other sections should be put on an online computerised system and directed to make data base of the patients instead of manual entries in the register. Shah directed the department to improve the overall outlook of the emergency building.
